Belanger Headers and Chrome Smooth Tubes \"Check Engine\"
OK, some smart viper owner help me out here. I put Belanger headers on my 2000 RT with Random Tech cats and Belanger exhausts. Did this first and drove it 25 miles or so with no light. Put it back in the garage and put on the smooth tubes. Two starts later the check engine light came on. Codes 134 and 151. Both of those refer to the O2 sensor in the headers. Since that was still under warranty I thought I would let the dealer eat the cost. They tested the 02 sensors and said they were fine and wanted to hit me for a 97 PCM because they said it was less sensitive to the mods. I refused and picked my car back up.
Should I replace the 02 sensors? Or will the air temp sensor located on the passenger side that I moved to one of the chrome smooth tubes be causing this as well.
It is definitely running rich because I have the sulphur odor at idle.
I thought I would get a few opinions before I dropped $140 on 2 new sensors.
