Explaining Viper things to you
Whoops. Forgot I already started filming.

We're filling in the mounting indentations right now to give a 100% smooth underside. Go to pick up the splitter material on Wednesday.

Would that be effective on the Gen2 stock airbox?

It wouldn't be as effective unless you could get the hot air out from under the hood. Open up cowl, add more scoops, Roe fascia, etc.

It would make a difference insulating the airflow from the radiator and engineblock heat, just not as much as the 08s.

My airbox works like your Vipair and draws hi-pressure air from the front of the rad, which is also enhanced with the Roe front fascia scoop as well. I think there's probably 10-15hp in our cars if we insulated the bottom of our airboxes.
