i am ready to see what my car looks like with the black gts emblem lettering kit i picked up from ron at rj distributors last week. i remember people saying to use dental floss to get behind the letters to saw them free, so to say. is heat needed or helpful. being rather cold here this time of year i figured it may be easier to do this in the spring when it warms up but i i can use a hair dryer to make life easier i will. any input would be great. thanks.

Hair dryer this time of year for sure. I used dental floss, but it kept breaking, so I used a fine fishing line, it worked much better.

awesome. i was thinking using waxed floss as it tends to be stronger but fishing line seems perfect. thanks bro.

After the removal of the emblems I used Goo gone to clean up the left over glue. Works great.

I used my fingernails on a warm day. ******* fingernails, but works.

Did the same thing and used alcohol to removed the glue that was left behind.

I just put on my emblems yesterday...it took me about two hours--which was way more time then needed. I used a hairdryer and my fingernails to remove the letters. I subsequently cleaned the area(s) using alcohol. Don't forget to first mark off the area with tape so you can line up the new emblems. Needless to say it was fun and easy. And, I really like how it turned out. Good luck.
