Don't use the shims. If you do, shim the tranny the same amount to keep the driveline phasing correct.

I didn't put the shims back in
I didn't know they were there or I would have taken them out before

When I installed the S/C I had to shim up the hood because they hit
I'm hoping to be able to take out the shims in the hood now that the shims under the motor mounts are gone

I don't have any leak down equipment
maybe after I get it running I can take it somewhere to get it done

I purchased an inexpensive leak-down gauge from Summit Racing. Actually, I think I paid $79 for the compression and leakdown gauges as a kit. So long as you have a decent air compressor and can find TDC its a pretty straightforward procedure.

What's the lasted update. Got the Viper running with the new engine? Got the Roe on? :eater:

Not quite running yet; maybe by the end of the week. I sent off some stuff to get ceramicoated and powdercoated and it is not all back yet. I'm also waiting on a catch can I ordered.
I'll let you guys know as soon as it is running ;)

The chromed intake tubes look awesome, think I may change mine over as well. Those red silicone hoses have to go.

It looks great! Proof that hardship makes us better.

Congrats.
