ARCHER AND LOTH DRIVE THE NO. 32 SUPERCLUBS RESORTS/BOBBY ARCHER MOTORSPORTS T1 VIPER TO VICTORY IN HALLETT, OK

April 23, 2001

Drivers Bobby Archer and Dr. Deborah Loth went two-for-two this past weekend, as the drivers piloted the No. 32 SuperClubs Resorts/Bobby Archer Motorsports/ViperSpeed T1 Viper to consecutive victories on Saturday and Sunday at the Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in Hallett, Oklahoma. Although the SCCA event at Hallet was outside their normal Southwest Region, Archer and Loth decided to compete in the event to earn points and get additional seat time in Archer's new black and yellow T1 Viper.

The technically challenging Hallett track includes elevation changes and blind turns that Archer knew would be a good test for his rookie teammate Loth. Archer and Loth arrived in time to test at the track all day on Friday. Bobby was very impressed at how quickly Dr. Loth picked up on the pointers he provided regarding the trickier turns. After Bobby made a few minor changes to the shocks during practice, Loth was able to qualify the No. 32 Viper in the second row for Saturday's Regional T1 race, behind a Ferrari and a Porsche.

As the green flag dropped for Saturday's race, Loth bolted past one car in front of her. By the time she exited Turn 1, Loth had taken the lead of the race and never looked back. Loth went on to set a track record for T1 and very impressively negotiated through the field of T1, T2, IT, and SS cars in her race. Following Archer's advice, Loth aggressively moved her way through lap traffic in order to make sure she stayed in front for the 14-lap race. Needless to say, the other drivers were quite busy watching their mirrors for the black and yellow Viper…

On Sunday, another beautiful weather day yielded a similar result for the No. 32 SuperClubs Resorts/Bobby Archer Motorsports/ViperSpeed T1 Viper. Archer drove his No. 32 Viper to another victory and another new track record for the T1 class in Sunday's SCCA National event. Archer was in command of the 28-lap race from the start and said his Viper performed flawlessly on the sticky Hoosier tires.

Next up for Archer and the No. 32 SuperClubs Resorts/Bobby Archer Motorsports/ViperSpeed T1 Viper is a trip to Bobby's favorite track, The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, for a Viper Days™ (Viper Club) event this coming weekend (4/21 - 4/22). Over 60 others Vipers will be there, with Viper-only races to be held on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
