What the back window of an Rt-10 (2001) is made of, is it a certain type of glass or is it plexi glass or even plastic.

Mine seems to be standard safety glass. It's definitely not plastic.

A while back...someone posted that they dropped theirs and it broke just like glass.

Ya, Mine broke just like glass as well, I have to go to a glass shop and get them to re-cut a piece of glass to fit in the frame, but I know it is not regular glass.

Just bring the car and have them match the side window glass with the rear window glass. It sure seem to be identical to me. The windshield glass is most likely thicker than the side/rear glass...well...that's just a guess.
