I deleted the cats from my 1993 rt/10 and it was pretty loud with my stock exhaust. But NOT too loud! I am considering removing my cats from my gts and keeping the stock exhaust. I was wondering if anyone has done this? Is it louder on the gts or side-piped rt/10? I am keeping the stock exhaust. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The 93' with side pipes will def be louder being catless. I recently had my muffler cut off my 96' RT/10 (rear exhaust) and its louder...but not LOUD. You can still have a conversation with someone in the passenger seat in a normal tone as youre going down the street. However, when you get on it, it does sound a lot meaner. It idles a lot louder than it did as stock as well. It also pops like crazy on deacceleration. It sounds like a machine gun going off, which I love.

How much did you pay to have your rear muffler cut off? I might rather do that. Then I won't have to take my side-sills off.
