Took my 98 GTS into the local Dodge dealer for 30K service last week (yes, too lazy to bleed clutch and brakes) and ended up with my right cat fried while it was on the lift - my 98 was apparently left idling for quite awhile and it would appear the right cat just shut down - smoke all over the place (the service manager brought me back to the work bay to watch my right sill discolor). It looks like the dealer is doing the right thing with a rental, replacing both cats a shooting the sill. However I was told today after replacing both cats they measured a higher temp on the right cat compared to the left, and it looks to me like they a fishing for something (existing condition that caused the damage). Any advice would be appreciated, I'm losing hair on this one - not too much to spare.. Mr. Wizard?..
