I have a chance to get my dream car. A 2002 GTS has gone up for sale and would like nothing better to buy this car. But... I have a problem, mainly the best way in paying for a car like this. I thought there might be a few people on this board that could offer suggestions about getting your car of your dreams (and I am not talking about the people that can pay cash out-right). Have people done home equity loans, regular used car loans, or anything else for that matter? Any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah.. it's a FE with 4700 miles. Man, that just rolls of the tongue...doesn't it.

Cheers from Oklahoma

Few years ago I used just a regular carloan from Lending Tree.com for 3 years. It was actually cheaper than my own banks "Great" loan...
I had most of the bucks, so I needed only $ 15K. Dont borrow so much that your payments will become a nightmare.
I ended up killing the loan in 1 year, which was great, no penalties. (and no more payments)
