Does anyone have the procedure for doing this and do you have to take the right front tire off the check the coolant level?

Turn the tire in on the passenger side, pop the big rubber grommet off, stick a flash light in there and check that the level is mid way through the view slot.

1-Turn your wheel all the way to the right.
2- Inside the wheel well on the forward end of the fascia you will see a plug(3-4 " diameter) rubber plug, remove it might need a screw driver the first time.
3- This will expose about a 6-8 inch white very narrow view window.
4- Get a flashlight & come in the most forward end (little moving the light around) to view.
5- You wont see the anti-freeze as green it will just show up as darker.Once you start looking you will see what I mean. :usa: :usa: :usa:

It REALLY helps if you have very bright, small light that uses blue LED's (such as the 5 LED light by INOVA as it has a fair amount of "UV") ...clean the viewing slot with a rag, pull off inspection port cover mentioned above, place the bright light right ON the overflow bottle...and view level thru the vertical slit ...with OEM antifreeze AND the blue light, one should see day-glo green fluid about half-way between the two embossed lines on the fender splash guard by the slit (with the engine COLD)...and the air above it will appear purple. This method works well even in bright sunlight with the proper light source.
