Got a letter dated 8-15 confirming my order with my V.O.N.# but
not the V.I.N.#. At least I know I'm in the system. Can't wait to
drive one at the V.O.I.

Yep;

Got mine yesterday. It confirmed VON, color, dealer.... but no VIN yet!

I ordered first day during the first hour! Some folks already have VIN'S. So far, I am not that lucky.

Can't wait!

I received my confirmation letter on the 20th from DC.

However, I called my dealer and he reported no change in
the status of my VON #. I ordered on the second day that
ordering was opened up back in mid-January.

Does anyone know if individual dealer volume will play into
to build schedule at all? In other words, would Woodhouse
or a similar large Viper dealer get preference over my
dealer who only sells a couple each year?

You might call Bill Pemberton and ask, but my understanding is that they won't be building to suit dealer preference. They are coming up with a delivery sequence, based on several factors but I don't think the dealer is one of them.

The benefit of going with a large dealer (besides the obvious cost and customer service benefits) are that trucks will be going to that dealer more frequently. If you ordered from a podunk dealer in Dakota, it can mean your Viper will sit waiting for several weeks until a truck is heading that way. Woodhouse likely gets multiple trucks per week just with Vipers, so your wait time will be minimized.
