Crack in Center Console

My 2000 GTS has developed a crack in the plastic of the center console. The vinyl covering is not affected, but the crack indentation is noticeable to the eye from both seats. Any thoughts on whether this would be covered under warranty? I bought the 7-year extended warranty, but I think they might try to blame it on me. I am the only one who has ever driven the car and I know I did not break it myself.

Any thoughts would be appreciated,

Now THIS is good news! Thanks for the info. My console has a crack near the screw by the drivers hip. Good to know that I can get it fixed.
