More consistent results from DC Performance Heads and intake upgrade.

Ed Hugo a Gen 4 race customer was looking for a little extra punch for his 2008 SRTC for the Chihuahua Express race down in central Mexico.

We baselined the car with Belanger headers high flow cats, side exhaust and Mopar Performance engine controller. Base numbers were 560hp and 530torque (rwhp). We added our velocity ported heads and intake and retested. New numbers were 603hp and 550torque (rwhp).

Of the 16 cars we have done, the peak numbers have been between 602 to 610 rwhp. The only variation is what header is used and if the car has cats or not. Average hp gain for the head and intake package has been 40rwhp. These numbers have been confirmed independently and by us.

Thanks everyone for your support.

Hey Dan, do you guys use a specific gasoline when running cars on the Dyno? Just curious if you have had anyone running a highly oxygenated race gas.

Alpha 85 had higher than normal numbers than most of our packages, most likely the dyno and perfect conditions that day.

Our 91 out here is really bad, we data log for knock and if the car is not seriously knock retarding we test it that way. Many of our customers use Torco octane booster, that will bring our gas up to 93 octane. 93 is recommended for the Mopar controller.

My car did 607/561 on 91 Oct (no additives), but 3.55 gears. I'm thinking the Torco adds more Tq than Hp. Is that right Dan?

Yes, but on the Torco mixing chart it is 1.6oz per gallon with 91 to get 95 octane. There is not a mixture for 93. Unless you guess and use a little less.

The conditions that day were 50 degrees and 80 percent humidity. There was a slight drizzle.

The dyno charts are listed in the general viper discussions under dyno day.
