Despite my car melting down...

In a post titled, "TOOFS Dynoday a Hit" Keith SapphireGTS wrote,

"Despite my car melting down, the dyno day was fun none the less... Everyone at the event and the staff at "Street Stuff" in Addison were very generous in helping me with my car and giving me a ride home. They offered to have it towed to the local dealer on Monday while pushing it inside tonight."

So what exactly happend to the car? Is everything ok? Anyone know?

Its at the dealer. I never hit the Dyno. A few people helped me with what we thought was an air pocket. I thought everything was "cool". On the way home it started overheating again. I pulled off the road and could hear the coolant boiling in the engine. Its at Finish Line. They said its a water pump. 1 week until they can get a new one in.

Sounded worse than it actually was. I actually melted an engine! I had one good piston when it was all said and done!

Good to hear it's not as bad as it originally sounded. It sounds like Finish Line will take good care of you. I bet you're itching to hit the dyno after getting to see everyone else go except you.

No crap. It has to sit in the shop while Chicago has about the best weather its seen all year.
