Does anybody wax their ACR rims????

We have a 2001 BMW 530i with the Sport package that has rims nearly identical to the ACR rims. I was thinking about waxing them over the weekend, but was wondering if anyone has done this, is it worth it, and what kind of wax did you use??

Its your only chance of saving some time cleaning. I always wax them but it seems not to last too long. I dont know if its because of the heat? Either way with a fresh coat of wax (Zaino) I use my compressor to blow most of the dirt away after a drive. Any residual dust comes off with a clean rag but still takes some time.

Be careful not to inhale brake dust if you use this method.

I use this stuff called RepelX. It was reviewed on Car & Driver a few months ago. It's like a wax but lasts a whole lot longer. I still have my stock brake pads on and all I do is hose off most of the dust and then sponge off the remaining 10%.
