engine color

Hello All

my 97 gts has developed a small blister on the valve cover. I would like to clean the area and repaint and would like to know if someone knows the correct color of red paint. Also is this a common problem? Never saw this happen on another car.

Don't know the color, but its not unusual for that to happen. Do a search for painting/powder coating VC's and you may find someone who's figured out the color.

the color is easy, its the texture that cant be redone

I would'nt repaint or powder coat, I would have it swirl polished like the enige of an old Bugatti
