Im gonna swap the factory muffler w a dynomax race ****.. and keep the cross-over...How will this sound? I know I won't see HP gains....just look'n for a better sound (for now).. John

It will get a lot cooler in the cab if you lose the cross-over.

If your going to leave the X-over on, I would go with a Bullet Performance muffler. I have had this on a previous SRT, and there is no mistake about it sounding perfect. The only time I would use the Dynomax is if you are going to a 3 inch system, as they make a 3 inch with a small outer body. 3 inch if your going with headers, 2.5 if not. The body on the Bullet is about 4.5 inch.

Skip - Any chance of the Bullets being bolt-on and no welding? It will be a few months until I can get a competent shop to touch my car to do such work. However, I'd like to throw them on myself if it is a bolt-on package... since the exisiting ones can be removed with normal tools (i.e. no torches or cutting).
