If someone purchased an extended warranty, then transferred it once, it is no longer valid for transfer to another owner... correct?

I tried to get the extended warranty on a Porsche transferred but they wouldn't do it through a dealer. It was worth about 4K.

I guess what amuses me is that if you look at the extended warranties on exotic cars like the Porsche TT. They frequently opt for the 100K coverage, even though the likelihood of driving over 20K is quite small.

It makes me realize that when I buy a car, I fool myself into thinking I'm going to keep it forever and drive incredibly long distances. I think it helps justify the decision.
