Extended warranty yes or no?

Hi all
I was wondering what the general consensus was to getting an extended warranty for your Viper if there is no more factory coverage? I'm not sure about the cost benefit on doing this. I have a '98 Coupe recently purchased and am debating the idea. What do most of you guys do with older models out of factory warranty? Thoughts?

GET IT!! I have yet to use mine but if something ever breaks I will be glad I have it. Things on Vipers are expensive and I don't want to pay out of pocket. Worth the money, even if never used, in my opinion.

Buy one while you still can. The only ones worth getting are factory from Dodge. Call Chuck Tator.

Per Murphy's Law: If you have it, you'll never use it. If you don't, something expensive will certainly break.

Seriously though...if you ever think you may part with your Viper, it's a good selling point.

does that mean an older viper can get coverage thru dodge if it is currently out of warranty?

Ask any of us who have had an Arrow rebuild . That single event more than offset the cost of the warranty. I only wish I could extend mine when it expires in March, 2005.

Regardless, if you can get one I would do it asap. Dodge can always change the rules in the future and exclude you.
