I had the same problem a couple years ago. I took it to the dealer and there was a TSB on the problem . They replaced a bracket and a couple switches and I haven't had it happen since.

Yep the TSB solution will fix the problem. It replaces the hood sensor and moves it from the middle of the hood to right up front. I was told that the hood expands in hot sun enough to trip the first sensor. Moving it up front to where the latch is solves the problem.
