GTS gas cap hitting panel

Is it just me or when you fully extend the gas cap cover, it actually touches body panel? Can this be adjusted somehow to avoid touching the body?

Mine doesn't make contact. Of course, lately it stays open more that it is closed.

No doubt! And no relief in sight either. So, what are my options other than taking it to the dealer?

Option.....DON'T open it so far . Mine is the same.

Mine touches, I just use caution when opening the lid.
