GTS Gas Cap Question

I have a 97 GTS and the flip open Gas Cap clear coat is damaged. Does any one have a mint cap they would like to sell or any ideas on how to repair this one?

Me too. Better yet, is something like this covered under any of the corrision warranty's. I know some of my other cars have a 10 year/100K corrosion warranty. Does the Viper have anything like that and would the gas cap be covered?

Gas cap is covered under the warranty, know of 4 being changed over here, including my own. Repair is hard as the alloy isn't the best and is quite pourous, so polishing it back up doesn't work. If you can't obtain a warranty go for the MGW version then you won't have the same problem again.

Go with the MGW part, it's much nicer IMO...

I have a spare one (brand new) - got mine under warranty replaced due to the corrosion, but went with the MGW anyway...

I took mine off, stripped clearcoat, polished it and clearcoated it again! Looks just like new! Took approx. 5 hours for me, and was not difficult.
