Re: HELP! My Viper won\'t start !!

If it runs for a few seconds, then shuts off, it's 98% likely that it's your alarm. That's what it does when the alarm has been tripped, and not shut off. Try disarming it first. If the battery has gone dead, been disconnected, or if the computer has been disconnected, you may have to reset your key fobs. The procedure is very easy. It takes a few minutes, and is well documented in the shop manual. I gave my GEN1 manual away to the buyer of my '93, or I'd fax you the page.

I'm sure someone here would volunteer to fax, or even type it up. It's pretty short. From memory, you find the green wire that is about where your right knee would be if you were sitting in the car. With the ignition on, ground it, and press the unlock (not sure here) button on all key fobs you want to program. Unground the wire, shut off the ignition. You should now be able to disarm the alarm. Hope this helps. If I missed something, hope someone can post the missing parts.
