Hood alingment

My hood has always been perfect on the amount of gap on both sides. Just recently my passenger side has developed significant gap and the divers side is sitting low. I did a quick check and the stops look fine. Are there any other adjustments that I should look at? And are there any reasons why after 6 years the hood would do this?

Has the frt bumper cover( frt fascia) ever been off for respray?
Have you ever lubed all the hinge points on the hood?
I assume you are refering to the 2000 GTS

Front bumper has never been off. I have never lubed anything. And yes 2000 gts.

1) Are you checking it on level ground?

2) Sometimes the front latch will not catch fully. Try closing again.

Found the problem. The passenger side latch had slowly lowered over the years. Once I readjusted it every shut perfect again.
