I did a run with my SRT and my buddy's Gallardo. I got up to 160mph and had to lay off because my hood was shaking like crazy! I really thought it might fly open and that would not be a pretty site.

Just wondering if this happened to anybody else?

Hood latch is adjustable. I had to adjust mine side to side for alignment purposes and up front for tightness when new. Now it's fine at 150 on a good road. Haven't gone higher ..... yet. Nevada Open Road Challenge coming in May.

Scary.

Mine definitely does not have this problem. Latching the hood requires firm pressure or decent "drop" to catch, very solid. Was your hood removed recently for engine servicing?

I jumped out a car length at 70mph but when we were at 160ish, he pulled along side of me. It's a fast car, i wanted a 360 coupe until i drove and saw the gallardo in action. I'm just waiting for the prices to drop alittle bit.

Franko,

A Paxton is much cheaper. . . . . and he won't be beside you at 70, 90, 120 or 150. Believe me. Not even close.
