I suspect my left front wheel lock is related to torsional stress on the cars frame, and am trying to stiffen it. Anyone done it?

If you are talking about lockup during hard braking then you need to get height adjustable shocks and scale it.

As for stiffing the frame there is a recall for the front steering rack.

I have looked at the front end on my car and thought about doing some work. Mainly a cross brace like on the GTS-r.

What you are experiencing is a corner weight imbalance because the driver and battery add more left-rear weight, unloading the opposite (right-front) corner.

The frame can be stiffened by welding a cover plate over the holes on the lower longitudinals near the back of the engine. ***HOWEVER*** This will negate the factory-designed crumple zone performance of the frame in the event of a frontal impact.
