Went 125(top down) in the red one right after i bought it. what about you guys/girls?

I have had my RT up to 160 MPH

165 while running the Silver State Classic in my '96 GTS (have a radar certificate to prove it). The car had way more left in it.

I had my GTS up to about 180... then I ran out of parts of my anatomy. Had the SRT with top down to 150, wind wasnt even too bad and I was carrying on a conversation at the time. had the SRT with the top up to about 165. PLENTY left to go.

Bruce, don't know. Just thought I would put some humor into it.

In reality I have had the RT/10 to 173. It may have had a few more in it but I needed to slow to around 120 in the corners (5 mile oval) due to poor track conditions.

The SRT I have had to 165 with the top down. The limit was my wife (yes, that can be a limitation) and the boot which started to blow up in the middle. With the top up I have had it to about 185 on the same track. That was only with a cat delete and muffler change. So nearly 20 mph more under similar conditions on the same track. (note the RT/10 dynoed at 405-410 RWHP). This year I can only imagine! I assume I also will run out of balls

And we will not even speak about traffic violations with speeds in excess of 150 but it will be some time before I take the Viper back to Las Vegas!

182 mph gps verified in my viper. went 176 mph gps verified in my Z06. 155 mph in my camaro SS and 145 mph in my ford lightning truck. gonna be doin some mods to my viper next year to get me up to 190 mph. i really wanna go 200 mph someday, but more than likely that will be done in a ford GT for me. the pic below was taken in my vette by my buddy who was in the passenger seat as i busted 172 mph in my Z06 back when she was bone stock.

180 top up. Lots of power left. Still pulls pretty hard at that speed. Realized that I have a small son who wouldn't understand the whole closed casket thing, so I was done. That also is the last time I'll be at that speed on a public road. I've been over that in other cars, but don't remember any of them feeling that solid. Clearly, I'm getting old.

i would say your buddy has the biggest balls of all! driving is one thing, being a high speed passenger is quite another!!!!

yeah. i can't believe he goes for rides with me in my 800 HP nitrous fed big block chevy jet drag boat. he even video tapes all the action. one of these days i am gonna put all my videos on DVD and upload them to the computer. my friend sean is good with cameras and cam corders. a few of the pix in my gallery he has taken. but almost all of my video taped stuff was shot by him.

182 or so ( a bit over 180 but NOT 185 ) on a highway at nite.

ran outta room to keep running. it had plenty more to go and with any luck this summer, i will find out how much more.

but EVERYDAY i drive it to work which is a lot of the time, i hit 155-160....cause i can ! ! !

why get a viper if ya aint gonna run it hard and fast ? ? ?
