Is this normal (Heater)?

When I turn a/c control knob to "vent" or "A/C" and turn temp control to hot, I get no heat. If I put it on "floor" or "defrost" and turn the temp control to hot, I get heat. Does the heater only work on "floor" and "defrost"? Thanks

Darn good question. I read the manual and still don't understand how to put the heat on.

"Yes" is the answer...heat does not come out the dash vent sites, only floor and windshield locations. To get heat in car...turn BOTH knobs to RIGHT...then, select position and amount...BUT stay on the RIGHT side of the dials of BOTH knobs for heat ( and left side of both dials for cold). Finally, add blower for amount of flow.

Thanks, that clears things up. Every other car I have ever owned also blew hot air out of the vents. I knew that our Vipers were unique
