Looking for 546r HRE\'s

I found 18inch HRE's 546 on the viper club classifieds, just wanted an opinion on the size of the wheels 18's or 19's. currently stock 97 rims, thanks in advance.

I would try to stay with 18's. I have heard lots of problems with bigger wheels. I wanted new rims but because of this got stuck looking at 18's. Of course the 19 inch HRS are going to look better but from what I hear the ride is a lot harder.

I can only give you my opinion. I have 19's on front and 20's on the rear, and the difference is hardly even noticable. You can feel bumps on the road a little more, but that is it.
I have driven lowered vettes with big rims, and I know what it means when people say harsh ride. It feels like the car is getting the $hit kicked out of it while it drives down the road. It isn't like that at all with my GTS.

I agree with inferno. While I have a gen3, I moved to 545Rs 19's and 20's. While some would hypothesize that the ride quality and handling would deteriorate, the quality of both improved considerably due to two reasons - reduction in weight from the OEM wheels (roughly 8-10lbs per wheel and the move to non-runflats.

I am quite pleased with the outcome. The HRE wheels are absolutely worth it in my book.

Really guys? Damn from what it sounds like it is not that bad. If I had heard this I would have probably bought the CCW's I wanted.

thanks guys, also why do a lot of guys put 19's f & 20's r.
on stock both are say 17's or 18's. any inputs? would be awsome, i only owned my viper since oct 1, 2005. i agree it takes a special breed of owners for the viper.
