MI, OH, IN Special Olympics Car Show Sunday Sept 24th

For any unfortunates not going to VOI9:

Is anyone interested in a Cruise/Car Show near Ann Arbor, MI? There is a Car
Show benefiting the “Special Olympics of Michigan” on Sunday Sept. 24, 2006 at
the Hudson Mills Metropark 8801 N. Territorial Road, Dexter, MI.

They will have food, wine, beer, crafts, music etc.

I’m thinking maybe meet in the morning for a cruise of the area before the show,
possibly the Irish Hills area. Of course for some the cruise will be to the show.

Yes. Seems the MCVO has pretty much given up on events for this year except VOI and the wine tour (which I cannot attend). We need some activities!

I might be up for it as long as a few Vipers show up, that's only 40 min from me.

I've talked with the co-ordinator of the show and she is excited about the prospect.
I explained that the weather could be a factor. I'm only about 5 miles away so
I should be able to make it anyway.

I have a camera that takes jpg photos to a floppy disk and I'm offering to take pictures
of kids/people in my Viper for a fee that will be donated to the Special Olympics also.
I'm sure kids would rather have their picture taken in a red or yellow Viper than my
graphite if anyone else is game.

I have several people interested that aren't on this board also.

Just found out that I will have family in town that weekend so I will not be able to. But there should be lots of other MCVO people available as not many are going to VOI.

Sorry you can't make it this year Ron but hopefully we'll be able to make this an annual affair.

We had an MCVO Swap Meet last night and it looks like several are planning to show providing the weather is decent.

We even have an ex-Viper owner (proracer1) bringing his Ford GT for the photo ops. I also contacted a guy about bringing his Ferrari.

We will have an area roped off for the cars and I'm getting carpet samples donated by a local floor store that can be used for the wiping of feet.

I'm hoping we can raise enough money that they insist we come back next year.
