Unburned fuel is the likley backfire popping

1) Plug Wire failed, likely at coil-pak
2) Plug has failed
3) Valve (Exhaust?) problem

Vipers should change plugs every 5000-6000 miles, wires every 12000 or 3-4 years

I thought I might have had one too; only makes the sound at idle & very low rpm, so I assumed some resonanace or other acoustical anomaly due to the agressive cam & rich fuel ratio. It smoooths right out at 1,000 rpms & sounds like butter.

An exhaust leak or misfire would continue through the rpm range, right? Just asking, cuz I wondered this too & talked myself out of it.
