I feel so badly for those in Joplin, as the devistation was great and many were caught off-guard because the rain obscured vision. There have been many disasters this year and I feel for all of those who suffered.
Sunday’s tornado that cut through the center of Joplin, Missouri around suppertime, is now being declared as the worst U.S. tornado in 60 years as the death toll jumped to 116.
The National Weather Service has rated the Joplin tornado at an F-4, the second highest rating given to twisters. Director of the weather service, Jack Hayes said the storm had winds of 190 to 198 mph and at time was three-quarters of a mile wide
For those in Viperland, I hope our members from that area are safe.
