It's been a while since I took mine apart, but now that you have the red clip out, isn't there a latch that you can either push in or pull out and then the halves can be pulled apart? I remember that as being the toughest part of upgrading my fan...

Hi Tony!

If it's like all the other DC connections, I believe you have to push in on a tab (I think it's on the lower half in your pic) to release the connector.

Now I know I'm not the only one. It took me HOURS to figure that out! Gotta push in the TAB!!!! LOL!!!!!
