I had a set of stock throttle bodies that I personally opened up, then had a machine shop clean up. I never tested these stock and was wondering what the stock ones actually flowed.

The numbers I got back from the shop were 496 (mine) and 516 (cleaned). I seem to remember the stock ones being 375.

It was also relayed to me that they were 82% at 28in (mine) and 85% at 28in (cleaned). What exactly are these percentages anyway?

Flow is the volume of air, I'm not sure about the percentages, but I assume higher is better.

Does anyone know the stock diameter of a GEN I TB? Obviously, I have searched the forum.

Thanks,

Jeff

Man, you are digging up some old stuff here. The stock Gen 1 throttle bodies are about 53mm wide where they taper down behind the butterfly.
