New shift knob

hey i've never done any work by myself on any car, but i was wondering how do i change a shift knob? i wanted to get the MGW snake gripper and i was wondering if i would be able to do it by myself. Also how i would do it. any help would be great, thanks

Very simple 5 minute install. Unscrew the old knob and screw on the new one. Instructions are included with the knob and are very easy to follow. I have the First Strike knob installed without the lock nut to acheive the lowest possible position.

Just a suggestion:

Sometimes the original shift knob lock nuts are a hassle to unscrew. Just take two open end wrenches, put them on the two screws so the wrench handles can be squeezed together with one hand (similar to a plyers handle) and give it a good firm squeeze. This'll loosen them without risk of bending the shaft.
