Mobil One Filter...in a cool Viper Red #92 GTS-R logo box!
$9.99 list. $8.50 at The Rack if ya can't find em locally.
Special: Three for $25......don't get caught without 'em!

--or NAPA Gold oil filter...about $6

SKIP the standard Dodge filter. Period.

My family owns an Auto Parts business and have come to realize that except for the cheap generic brands, the major labels are all worthy filters. I will add that Fram filters seem to be the exception to the rule and I'd avoid them!

Otherwise, Wix, STP, Mobil 1, and others seem to be just fine for the Viper. Change the filter with each oil change instead of every other (as in other cars) and you'll be fine. I change the Viper's oil and filter every 3,000 and most cars truly don't need oil changes any earlier than 5,000 miles under static driving conditions.
