Started her up after a long winter slumber, no problem except the check engine light came on. Went over to local auto store they let me use their diagnostic tool to get the codes:

P0141 O2 sensor 1/2 heater
P0161 O2 sensor 2/2 heater

From what I've been able to find this seems like a fairly common problem. Here are my questions:
*If i need to replace them, should I use stock sensors or is there another brand, costs?
*Is this something I can do on my own or do I need to have this done at a shop?
*Will driving it cause and damage to the motor?

Thanks

The sensors are easy to change assuming they're not rusted in. You don't say what year your car is or what the mileage is. I just had Dodge change all 4 on my 06. Changed them because I blew the motor last year and figured this was a precautionary thing to do. Cost me $650. I could have done it myself it was so easy. Turned out one of the new sensors went belly up after 25 miles and threw a CEL. Another sensor was sluggish based on a real time data monitor I hooked up. Replaced it as well as the dead one. Sensors were like $110 from Dodge and the same from the local parts dealers. Returned the bad sensors to Dodge. The sensors from Dodge were Bosch. One of the replacements from one parts store was NGK, the second from a different parts store was also a Bosch.
