When I saw the first photo's, I HATED the car!

Well.......all I can say, was that my friends and I were impressed. The stock photos ( see below) did NO JUSTICE TO THIS CAR!!

You will just have to see it for yourself!

The Vettes were also there. There was no comparison! The Viper is a WAY better looking car!

I will step up, when the time comes! (yellow with black stripes please.)

Looks are subjective but Im glad you are in the minority on the styling of the GTS....Its pretty evident that, along with most car enthusiasts, DC thinks highly of the GTS looks...So much so that the new SRT coupe is trying hard to recapture the GTS classic looks....Nuff said

Total 180 when I SAW it!

When you walk around a big auto show, and see hundreds of plain Jane cars. The Viper is still outrageous! It really stands out! ( That's the biggest reason I bought one in the first place! This car still gives that one of a kind feel )

It still screams race car.

I think the RT/10s look the best too. One of the things that makes the Viper so **** is how low and wide it is, with the RT/10 being by far the lowest.

Well I thought that different colors would change my mind so I PSed a few....It looks like the darker the color the more GTS like it looks...Especially the bottom one...Gotta look for a bit to realize its the SRT10 coupe according to my girl...

The reason there is a line at the windshield is that they just used ASC to design a roof addition to the existing roadster, rather than coming up with a whole new design. Just grafting onto the existing coupe is one reason the new coupe is 15 pounds heavier than the roadster!!

The reason the darker photos make the car look better is that they hide the lines of the side gill, which is one of the most jarring aspects of this hodgepodge design.

The yellow one above is the best looking version I've seen so far IMO.

Well, the style's growing on me too, but still an enormous disappointment, especially from the performance perspective.

I'm reasonably sure I will never own one, at least not in the present configuration of power and performance; i'd much rather have the roadster. Gotta add a hard top, racing harnesses, and comp coupe oil system to roadcourse it anyway...

I didnt speak for other I spoke for myself and for those who feel the same...If you do a check yo will see most car sites, while some like the new coupe, they still say its not as good as the GTS in looks....Conflicting lines etc...And there are some who think it looks better than previous gen Vipers...However, from MY experience on many forums, the great majority dont think this Viper is a step in the right direction especially in the power department...Just look at most of the "New Coupe" threads...Whats the dominant thinking....Ill let you figure that out...

Guys, guys, lets focus on the cars and DC, not on cutting down each other.

I, for one, am a Viper owner that is disappointed in the new Viper coupe. But I'm not criticizing someone who likes it. I'll criticize the car and those who like it shouldn't take it personally. Let's just try to get a better car for all of us. I think it is DC who deserves the criticism.

I went to the LA auto show wanting to like the new coupe. After seeing it in person, I kept going back and forth on my opinion on it. After a few walkarounds, I came to the conclusion that it looks too much like a GTS roof was slapped onto an SRT. There is no integration of the roof into the SRT's design theme. How does DC justify the decision to take an angular car and slap a curvy roof on top and expect the car to look complete?
