Oil Pressure Question

After reading someone's oil pressure thread here - it probably raised the paranoia factory a bit....

So I go out to start my car (after sitting overnight) and notice for 1 to 3 seconds the oil pressure light is on and the pressure is 0. Afterward it jumps up to about 75 then makes its way to about 50 while driving.

Normal behavior for an 06 or should I be concerned? Maybe someone else can try this on their car

Normal. The pressure needs to build up thus the delay. Normal driving the pressure will quickly settle to the proper level.

i dont get the sections part--but anyway oil pressure will drop when the oil gets warm..normal

dont sweat the gauges too much. just watch for changes either way, higher or lower.

IDLE: about 45-55 psi
ON THROTTLE: about 65-75 psi

Totally normal.
