Oil questions What kind is the best

First oil chnage since I got her I can't drive her yet due to a hand injury might as well get the oil changed. What kind are you using and what kind would be best Sythetic or regular and what viscosity? any help greatly appreciated.

Synthetic, Mobil-1 10W30 or 15W50, depending on your climate. I beleive a few owners also swear by Red Line and possibly Amsoil Synthetic, also.

All lubricants in our car are Amsoil. Been using these products since 1976. I use 0W-30 in the engine.

Do a little search, you will find all the info you could possibly want. Most stick to the company line..that being Mobil 1, the factory fill. Not necessarily the best product, but certainly capable of doing the job.

50w is a little on the heavy side. Might cause a little extra heat and a small loss of hp. If oil is too thick it won't lubricate as well.

I live in Chicago so temperature rarely goes above 100 but humidity is a killer and a/c will be running all summer.
