MTGTS and myself headed out. It was great to have another Viper with me for a change. Then...1 more showed up. 3 VIPERS! The other was a guy named Orlando, running a large single turbo over 1,000rwhp on a 100% stock motor(99) and for fuel system nothing but boost-a-pump and injectors...tuned w/ vec3. Letting off on low boost he was running 11.1's @ 134mph if I remember right.

As for myself I made a new best time....TWICE. I got lots of run and it was really good practice.

Here are my times:

11.84 @ 122 (missed the 2-3 shift)

11.98 @ 125 (spun really bad 60 ft of 2.41)

12.47 @ 102 (foot slped off gas, took it easy on the rest of run)

11.93 @ 126.64 (2.192 60ft)

12.07 @ 125.27 (2.176 60ft) Fun run w/ a turbo civic HB he ran 13.4 @ 105 on HI boost.

At this point I was pissed because my 60ft time are killing me. So I droped the pressure to 25psi and launch like I do on the street.

11.622 @ 125.76 60ft 1.922 <--- new best time!

Then backed it up with a....

11.618 @ 126.73 60ft 1.936 <--- Another new best TIME & MPH!!!

Then my oil filter blew up and I dumped 7 qts oil on the track and two on my car

Dude,
sorry to hear the oil filter failed. What brand filter were you using(fram)? That should not have happened.

Do you have any videos? I would like to see Orlando's setup. If it's the same guy, his car was a Roe/NOS car a few years back. I would like to know his thoughts on the different setups.

Did you get it all cleaned up and figure out it was just the filter? If so that's great news. I'm taking mine in to the dealership on Mon. I think Orlando hit 10.6 or 10.8 letting off. His car is ridiculous.

You can see were the seal blew apart on the top. With so much pressure it must have spun it off.

Baz,

Yep, dropping the pressure helped. The odd part is that my times went down but my mph went up! I ALMOST hit a 11.5@127 This car has that time in it with this set up. I'm willing to bet with more work on my part, this setup has a 11.3 @127 in it.

Got the car cleaned up, runs as strong as ever. I can't wait to hit the track again.

The cheapest place to buy oil and filter is ......WAL-MART. $40 for moblie 1 syn and $5 for the MOPAR filter.
