Pics of 18\" Speedstars on my 99 RT

Thanks to JonB for sending these overnight and getting them here in time for the weekend. :2tu:

The much anticipated speedstars. Finally on a viper.

Cast your vote! Love them or hate them?

NOTE: the centercaps were backordered, so those aren't on the car.

Love 'em! Have you lowered your car yet, Joe??? Looks like you haven't, but it could just be the angles. :) Those look GREAT! :2tu:

Haven't lowered the car yet. That is in the future. Got the Stoptech kit to install now too... so many viper things to do... so little time.

They remind me quite a bit of the VR-1's. But for 1/2 the price!

Thanks JonB!

Honestly, I dont care for them to much. They look a little rice. Thats just opinion though. No flame intended. To each their own. :D I'd lower it though.

Nice job, they match the car perfectly. Drop it a little & you're done.

I like the thin spoke look!

What kind of rotors do you have on your car now? Rims look great and show off the rotors nicely :2tu: Are the stoptechs going to replace what you have now?

Re: Pics of 18

After looking at the pics, the car _definitely_ needs to be lowered. More $$, I guess. What will it take to lower it? New springs? perhaps I need to start a new thread...

The rotors on there right now are the EBC slotted and dimpled rotors. The Stoptechs are going on the front whenever I get around to it. might not be for a month, though.

For the record, my wife-to-be likes the stock rims better. I like these, though. I guess I'll just have to use the stockers for drag racing. :)

Austin - Thanks for the lowered pic. I like it a lot!

No problem! :2tu: I do what I can to help out. :D To be quite honest, now that I look at the lowered version, those rims dont look to bad, especially since they are silver as well as the car.

The silver wheels are fairly well matched on your silver car. They look like they could have been a factory wheel option.

You might consider the Northwind lowered coil caps which drop the car 5/8" but keep the stock springs. It's a good compromise between the stock Viper height, and the short EBC springs (and scraping on speed bumps and driveways all of the time). I think that JonB carrys them.

I guess that owning a Viper is never about popular opinion. Those wheels get major two thumbs up from me!!!

Don't make the wheels look heavy like the stock rims. Great job!

Look nice, but I prefer the factory wheels as well. Is that cross drilled and slotted discs is see?

Re: Pics of 18

lower it!!! The springs are 300 bucks and you can do it in your garage in 3 hours.

Those wheels look too cool on a silver car!

Very nice

Re: Pics of 18

I will hopefully get a chance to weigh them today vs. stock. I'll post info as soon as I know.

Thanks for the feedback!

The silver cars and wheels really look great. It just looks like they always belonged together.
