Please help..... A Whining Noise from the front of the engine appeared out of the blue ,sounds like I have a blower ( I know what the smoothed tubes sound like) Not it.

Every now and then when I'm running the air conditioner my alternator will whine just like I have a supercharger. It's been doing it for about two years now.

2 things to try, first belt dressing(in the spray can),
then if there is still noise you might use a digital aim and
shoot, temp. gun, to check temp of bearings on pulleys(you might
have a dry or bad bearing).

I bet it's your belt. Some belts glaze over a little bit which causes the whinning noise. I've taken dawn soap before and washed the belt down with a scrubber and it worked. I think if you get the newer belts, they prevent the whine. Stay with Mopar belts. I think the ones from Napa or anywhere else will cause the whine.

Same thing happened to me, your car now sounds like a 84 Ford station wagon. I would recommend you get a new belt, if your car is under a service contract Dodge will fix this for free.
