Has anyone noticed that prices on new SRT-10's appear to be dropping? On Ebay there must be 5 or 6 2003 still available new and several 04's. One of the 04's is offered at $1000 over invoice and only has 5 miles on it! Is it the economy? I think so because I see it in other area's. Why so many new 03's left over??

$1000 over is still to high. More like $100 to $500 over, remember they get holdback on the $75,000 too. I think the 2003's are left because they were trying to **** folks on the price and now their screwed.

Here in Northern California there are two 2003s on a local lot, and it appears the owner will take my 96 Black RT/10 with silver stripes plus a $30,000 check for one of them, out the door. My 96 has 10,000 miles and neither of the 03s (Silver and Red respectively) have over 5,000 miles on them. By my reckoning, after taxes that places the resale value on the 03s somewhere around $65,000 depending on how you value my 96 (California tax at 8.25%) :usa: . I don't think the SRTs are getting as positive a reaction as the Gen I/IIs from buyers, although the ones we drove at Skip Barber's class were truly excellent cars. There are 03s with either no mileage or low mileage more readily available than the Gen I/IIs in our area.

$69,000 out the door, or before tax and license?

I understand that my local guy is going to wholesale the '03 for what he hopes will be $69,000 if I don't take it. He has two, so I don't know if these are a response to a slow local market, or if I'm getting a "special" deal, or if will suddenly find that I need to pay something extra in order to get out the door.

my price was BEFORE taxes etc. I sensed I got a deal because the seller was pretty wealthy and I was ready to buy, he changes cars every 9 months or so so I may have got lucky.
