putting stripes on a 08 hood for a 06 coupe?

I am wanting to put stripes to match the stock stripes of a 06 on a 08 hood. The width of the stripes of the 06 are wider and I am not sure if the stripes will work very well on the 08 hood. Any suggestions or pics?

they will work and just will be wider than the 08 stripes and you will have to run them through the vents but they will work.

Im always on the fence about stripes vs. no stripes. It really all depends on color combo, body (very/coupe), etc... My opinion anyway. I do usually tend to like stripes more on the coupes though.

Are those painted or tape? If tape on where do you get them? I would like to add stripes to my solid venom red 08.

Here is a pic of an 06 car with new 08 hood that belonged to redtanrt10 on here. He had the stripes taper in the front and looks good I think. This is only pic I have of his car.

Are they tape? They look great I like them wide as well. I always wanted to stripe mine. Alot of oncoming vetts wave thinking im a driving a vette. With those strips you know its a viper coming. How much is it to add the strips? Im looking at getting a SSG maybe I can get plain and add the stripes makes it easier to find a car.

Those are all painted on. Vinyl stripes look so cheesy on a Viper. Too many curves and scoops to make vinyl tape look right.

I agree, do it right and have them painted.

I like the taperd stripe on the front of the hood. Looks cleaner if you stay away from the louvers.

If you want the tapered stripe on a Gen 3, you will also need to strip and re-paint the nose too. Not many willing to do that.

I disagree, it somewhat reminds me of the stripes on the Ford GT how it goes through the scoops. I think it looks better.
