Radio install in a 2009

I have previously installed a Kenwood single DIN pop out DVD head unit in my 08. No issues. Dodge didn't use the new CAN bus for the radio so it was pretty straight forward. However, a very reputable Viper Tech (trust me he is someone you would know and belive) has told me that he's had problems putting aftermarket radios in new Vipers. Said he ended up having to reflash the PCM because the new radio shut the car down. Anyone ever have a similar problem or know anything specific to 09 radio installs? I am about to install the same Kenwood radio in my 09 ACR.

i have never heard of that problem before and in a past live I have install hundreds upon hundreds of head units in other cars but that does not mean it could not happen. Interesting to see if others have had this problem
