Re: ROE RACING\'s VEC1

Can you elaborate on the VEC-1 in terms of performance improvements? Dyno runs in the baseline vs. VEC-1 configuration, etc.?

Can you please explain in simple words, what the VEC1 does, The VEC-1 provides a way to change the air/fuel mix and spark timing. It has two simple dials to tune with. The stock Viper can run lean with lots of advance at partial throttle. At Wide open throttle it runs very rich but not so much timing advance. W/o getting too technical, it is a high impedance parallel connection to an O2 sensor and a serial connection to the intake sensor.

How difficult is it to install? Easy to install on Gen (Chapter) 2 but don't know about a '94 or effect of a European spec car. Soldering not needed, but worth doing anyway for more consistent, durable connections -- especially under the hood areas.

Is it worth to install with slightly modification, K&N, Smooth Tubes, Hi Flow Cats,?`94 RT/10 black Search the board and you'll find others with similar mods have been pleased with results. Don't know if it's right for S/C or Nitrous -- ask Sean

I've got one and love it. I bought it in St. Louis at VOI6 and had Sean install it there. You can definitely feel the difference. Much less stumble and feels like more torque. Do a search for "vec" and you'll find lots of posts.
