RT/10 HOOD QUESTION

What year did the RT/10 get the GTS hood (Vents and air duct)?
Was this an option? I see alot of Vipers with the GTS hood & the smooth hood.

I believe 97 was the start of the vented hoods due to the Gen II motor.

Nope, no vents till 98 for the rt

There were a very few '97 roasters available with a louvered hood but no NACA duct.

Check out the VCA classifieds. One of the '98 RT/10s that is for sale has the following quote:

"The only 1998 RT/10 to exit the factory with a 'smoothie', non-ducted, hood."

History made today...... Im disagreeing w/ Dean !

1997 RT/10s were all made w/ smoothie hoods. Can anyone cite a 97 RT/10 w/ any louvres? I don't think so, unless installed later.

The 1998 Brochures shows smoothie hoods in 98 RTs, but only ONE was made that way! Most customers clamored for the ducts in 97.

Team Viper actually surveyed VCA prezes in 97 for our opinions on this matter. Purists wanted smoothies....CAAP and Dodge parts beancounters wanted uniformity. CAAP won
