Seat of the pants knowledge

Looking for a "solid" recommendation on how best to lower the seat in an 09 ACR? I tried the aftermarket 1" lowering kit, but are not comfortable with the fact that it only locks the slider on one side (the OEM seat base locks both sliders). I track the car in HPDE events and feel the seat moving around while I'm driving. At 6'3" I can use all the height and leg room that I can get.

Has anyone tried installing a Recaro or Sparco bucket race seat?
