So, I need some advice. Got the new ride yesterday and everything went perfect. I take it out this evening and a runaway hubcap from a beat up minivan strolls into my lane. We are doing about 70 and there is no way to get out the path without causing a major accident. I slow as much as possible and it hits the from grill. I get to my destination and inspect the damage. I am sure there will be scratches not gouges as I originally worried. Most of it is burn from the plastic hitting the car at speed. Of course I am mad, but nothing I can do about it, I just want to try to clean it up.

Any suggestions, I don't have access to a electric buffer, but I do have old fashion elbow grease.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Matt

If its just burnt plastic try something like "Goof Off" or mild compound then polish. Good luck!

Try a mild SSR like 3m 39009 or Zaino Fusion ZPC or whatever is available at your local auto store. A buffer or Random Orbital Buffer may help but try by hand frst. Sorry to hear this.
